Through the various projects scheduled throughout 2025, the aim is to rediscover a rich past and highlight a vision that has always looked to the future and to the community.

The Projects
NAPOLI MUSA LIVE CONCERT IN LONDON
The Napoli Musa Live project arrives in London as an international concert-event promoted by the National Committee Neapolis 2500. The initiative brings Neapolitan music to the stage of the Britten Theatre, enhancing the city’s cultural identity within a global dimension. Headlining the event is Gigi D’Alessio, joined by Mavi, Rosario Miraggio, and Gianluca Capozzi, in a musical journey that tells the story, emotions, and creativity of Naples. The concert offers audiences an experience that blends tradition and innovation through contemporary voices and sounds.
The event is produced in collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation. The initiative engages the Italian community abroad as well as a broader international audience. Naples thus reaffirms itself as a universal muse and a cultural ambassador of Italy to the world.
ART FROM THE VOLCANO
The project “Art from the Volcano” presents an exhibition in Tangier from 8 December to 11 January, dedicated to contemporary Neapolitan and Campanian creativity, as part of the celebrations marking the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of Naples. The exhibition brings together works from the Madre Museum and the Museo Novecento of Naples, offering a journey from the second half of the twentieth century to the present day.
The show highlights the continuity between tradition and experimentation, drawing inspiration from Mount Vesuvius as a symbol of energy and regeneration. The initiative is promoted by the Italian institutions in Morocco under the aegis of the National Committee Neapolis 2500.
The project is part of the Bicentennial of diplomatic relations between Italy and Morocco, strengthening Mediterranean cultural dialogue. The opening event combines visual arts and music, evoking Neapolitan tradition. Naples thus emerges as a creative hub open to the world and a leading force in international cultural exchange.
A CHRISTMAS AT CASA CROCE
The project features the first screening in Naples of the documentary film “A Christmas at Casa Croce” by Pupi Avati, as part of the celebrations marking the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of the city, promoted by the National Committee Neapolis 2500. The event enhances Naples’ historical and cultural heritage, placing the city at the center of an international narrative.
The film portrays the figure of Benedetto Croce and Naples between the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, with scenes filmed at Palazzo Filomarino.
The initiative strengthens the role of culture as a tool for dialogue, cooperation, and development. Following a significant festival and institutional journey, the project supports the international circulation of the documentary through the Italian Cultural Institutes worldwide.
INTERACTIVE MULTIMEDIA INSTALLATION OCULUS SPEI
The project presents the interactive multimedia installation “Oculus-Spei” by Annalaura di Luggo as part of the celebrations for the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of Naples, promoted by the National Committee Neapolis 2500.
The artwork is hosted in the Chapel of the Treasury of San Gennaro from 11 November 2025 to 11 February 2026 and interprets the Jubilee of Hope through art, technology, and audience participation. The installation symbolically transforms the Holy Doors into interactive portals dedicated to peace, inclusion, and rebirth. The protagonists are four people with disabilities from different geographical backgrounds, all residents of Naples, embodying the city’s spirit of welcome and coexistence. A fifth door invites visitors to an immersive experience of reflection and inner liberation.
The project reinforces Naples’ role as a cultural and spiritual crossroads of the Mediterranean. At the same time, Oculus-Spei expands into an international dimension with a presentation at the Italian Cultural Institute in Barcelona. The initiative promotes global dialogue through the universal language of art and hope.
EXHIBITION TOTO’ AND HIS NAPLES
As part of the celebrations marking the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of Naples, the National Committee Neapolis 2500, jointly established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation and the Ministry of Culture, is promoting the exhibition “Totò and His Naples,” to be held at the Belvedere Hall of the Royal Palace from 31 October 2025 to 25 January 2026.
The exhibition originates from an idea by Pupi Avati, a member of the National Committee Neapolis 2500, and is an original presentation paying tribute to the deep and indissoluble bond between Antonio de Curtis, known as Totò, and the city that saw him born, raised, and transformed into a universal symbol of Neapolitan identity.
PRIX ITALIA AND INTERNATIONAL WEEK
The Prix Italia is the oldest international competition for radio, TV, and multimedia productions, organized by Rai since 1948. The 77th edition will take place in Naples from October 20 to 24, 2025, as the city also celebrates the 2,500th anniversary of its mythical founding. Included among the initiatives of the Neapolis 2500 National Committee, the festival highlights Naples as a crossroads of cultural and scientific exchange. This year’s theme, Get Real, encourages a clear-eyed engagement with the complexity of the present. With a special focus on documentaries, the competition aims to be a space for dialogue among diverse cultures, languages, and media to interpret contemporary reality.
MED DIALOGUES
The MED Dialogues (October 15–17) are coming to Naples: a key forum for debate on geopolitics, energy, security, and development, bringing a global platform to the heart of Southern Italy. Naples embraces its role as a muse, enriching the event with moments of culture and storytelling—open to the public—that aim to spark new pathways toward peace, cooperation, and solidarity.
FREE CONCERT: NAPOLI MUSA LIVE
On the occasion of the 2,500th anniversary of the founding of Naples, the National Committee Neapolis 2500 — jointly established by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Culture — presents a unmissable event: “Napoli Musa Live,” a major free concert that will light up Piazza del Plebiscito on 29 September with the music and energy of exceptional artists, ambassadors of the city’s culture and spirit.
A unique evening, open to the public with prior registration, the live performance will pay tribute to Naples, a city that serves as both muse and vibrant heart of Italian creativity. On stage, voices and sounds will celebrate the beauty, history, and art of a city that has enchanted the world and continues to inspire it with its unmatched passion.
2025 CONFERENCE OF SCIENCE AND SPACE ATTACHES AND AGRICULTURAL EXPERTS
An event that celebrates the role of scientific diplomacy in the country’s development. It brings together experts, representatives from research institutions, industry, and government to discuss strategic topics such as research security, space, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, biotech, and quantum computing. It takes place in symbolic locations, including the Anton Dohrn Zoological Station, the Capodimonte Astronomical Observatory, and the Royal Palace of Portici. The program includes thematic talks, closed-door sessions, networking moments, and the presentation of awards for scientific excellence and innovation.
ABU RAY DAYS
A two-day event organized by RAI in collaboration with ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union) will host eighty representatives of public service broadcasters, commercial networks, and media organizations from across the Asia-Pacific region.
They will gather to share models and technological innovations developed by public broadcasters in Europe and Asia.
BIENNIAL OF UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITES
The initiative aims to promote best international practices in the protection and integrated enhancement of both tangible and intangible heritage.
It includes an international conference with sector experts, hands-on workshops, and practical sessions designed to foster networking between institutions, cultural operators, and other stakeholders.
The Vesuvian area—home to Pompeii, Herculaneum, and Torre Annunziata—shares the same coastal boundary that connects the city and islands of the Gulf of Naples, extraordinary custodians of an archaeological heritage, including underwater sites, that inspires a truly unique vision for development.
THE SECURITY OF THE MEDITERRANEAN AND THE ROLE OF NATO
A preparatory stop ahead of the NATO Summit in The Hague this June, aimed at fostering reflection on security issues across the broader Mediterranean region.
The event will bring together around 130 guests from the 32 allied countries, 12 southern flank partner countries (Morocco, Mauritania, Algeria, Tunisia, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Bahrain, Kuwait, United Arab Emirates, Qatar, Iraq), and 3 regional organizations (African Union, Arab League, and Gulf Cooperation Council), for a total of 47 delegations in addition to NATO’s civilian and military staff.
